Spend the afternoon fishing with friends and supporters on arguably one of the most exclusive private bass fishing lakes in the country, then gather for a beautiful dinner on the water as we share the heart and mission of Children’s Hope.
Legacy Lakes is a legendary private bass-fishing property created by Ray Scott, the founder of B.A.S.S. and a central figure in modern bass fishing history. The property—spanning roughly 200+ acres just outside of Montgomery, Alabama—was developed as a highly managed, trophy bass habitat with multiple lakes designed specifically to produce big fish and exceptional fishing conditions. Its centerpiece, Presidents Lake (about 55 acres), was named “the best bass lake in the United States” by Outdoor Life magazine and has drawn attention from elite anglers worldwide.
You will have the distinct privilege of fishing with anglers on the bass fishing teams from some of the top fishing schools in the nation. Many of these student anglers have fished this lake and some have pulled out some very large fish! They will guide you into their favorite spots.
As the afternoon on the water winds down, you’ll gather lakeside for a relaxed and beautifully prepared dinner at Legacy Lakes. Around the table, in an atmosphere of warmth and conversation, you’ll hear the heart behind Children’s Hope and the stories of children and families in Haiti whose lives are being transformed through our orphanage, medical clinic, and community outreach. This intimate evening is designed to give you a clear and personal look at the mission, the impact, and the opportunities to partner with us in bringing lasting hope.
