A fishing event to benefit Children’s Hope
“Hooks for Hope” is a fishing event to raise awareness and support for Children’s Hope’s life-changing ministry to vulnerable children, families, and communities in need in Haiti. The event will be held at Legacy Lakes - one of the premier private bass fishing properties in the United States. Participants will be hosted by perennial rivals, the University of Alabama and Auburn University Bass Fishing Teams, joining them as they face off in an exhibition tournament and enjoy an unforgettable day of fun, fellowship, and fishing!

Your donation toward your team will help decide which team raises the most money. The team that raises the most money will receive a 5lb bonus when it’s time to weigh in. In a sport where a winner may be decided by mere ounces, a 5lb bonus could change the outcome of the tournament.

The age-old rivalry of Alabama vs Auburn continues in a fishing tournament that benefits Children’s Hope. The Alabama Fishing Team will face off against the Auburn Fishing Team and you can play a part.

About The Venue
Legacy Lakes has been named by Outdoor Life Magazine as “The Best Private Bass Lake in the U.S.” Originally built and operated by Ray Scott, founder of B.A.S.S., the property provides an elite fishing experience in a beautiful setting. The 55-acre Presidents Lake is so named as both Presidents George H.W. and George W. Bush spent time fishing there, as have a host of other celebrities and professional anglers.
Previous Year’s Events
Our first ever Hooks for Hope event last spring raised over $80,000 for our ministry in Haiti! It was a fun day with over 60 fishermen participating, plus the Auburn University Bass Fishing Team and a host of other volunteers.
