These are unprecedented days for life and ministry, and like you, we are trying to deal with the uncertainty and challenges that we are all facing. We believe that with the Lord’s guidance and provision, we will get through it together.
We are pressing on in our mission in Haiti. The children and families that we serve daily will need our care and help in the days to come. We MUST press on.
Haiti now has its first confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus. We have already implemented measures to keep our children and staff in Haiti safe and well. We will continue to respond the crisis to the best of our ability- including doing what we can to help our community there.
The airports in Haiti have been closed to international flights, and that could be the case for several months. That, along with a specific “Do Not Travel” advisory related to the security situation in Haiti, has again shut down our mission team ministry for the foreseeable future.
These mission teams are normally a source of significant ministry activities, encouragement, advocacy, and financial support. Just as last year, we will be greatly impacted in multiple ways by the inability to send teams.
We will plan to stay in touch in the coming weeks. We desperately need your continued connection and support.
Here are some ways you can help right now:
1. Pray- Please pray for the health and safety of our kids and staff in Haiti. Pray the same for our community. Pray for wisdom as we seek how to best respond and help our community members in Jesus’ name.
2. Take Care of Yourself- By now you know what you’re being asked to do to stay well and keep others well. We love you and care about you, and we are praying for you to stay safe and well even as you pray for us.
3. Give- We have a significant need for funding to continue our programs in Haiti. 100% of your gift will fuel our ongoing work to children and families in need Haiti. You can give HERE or using the link on our website.
Thank you for your heart for Haiti and your support of children and families in need there. You make this all possible.
