International Adoption Agency
History and Mission of Children's Hope International
Children's Hope
International is passionate about our mission of "Homes, Health
and Hope for Children in Need". As an international education
institute in 1982, we planted our roots in the international
adoption by providing our members with adoption assistance. In 1992,
we officially became Children's Hope International/China's Children.
As an international adoption agency to
begin adoption in China, we were often known in the beginning as
China's Children.
RESPECTED AND
EXPERIENCED: Of the hundreds of placements we make each
year, about one third are in China and the rest are divided in Russia,
Colombia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Kazakhstan. This wide variety of
adoption programs helps ensure adoptive families will be able
to adopt successfully.
LICENSED AND
ACCREDITED: We are a full service, licensed, not-for-profit
501(C)(3) international adoption and development aid agency, accredited by the COA
and Hague pursuant. Well-organized in each country in which we assist
families in adopting, our work is based on relationships that have
been established for many years throughout the world. We are
accredited by the Council on Accreditation which is the highest
level possible for an international adoption agency. Children's Hope
International was one of
the first agencies to receive accreditation by the Russian Ministry
of Education to legally place children from that country, and we are
currently awaiting re-accreditation.
